Sapphic Social: Different Theme Every Thursday

Join us for an inspiring and empowering weekend that harnesses the power of creativity in the face of adversity. "Art is Resistance" is a community art-making and collage show designed to bring together artists, activists, and community members to express their thoughts, feelings, and resistance against the pressing issues we face in our world today.

Event Highlights:

- Collaborative Art Making: Participate in hands-on art making where you can create your own art pieces using a variety of materials. This is an opportunity to share your voice and contribute to a collective message of hope and resistance.

- Collage Show: You can take your art or protest poster with you, or put it on our wall for a collage exhibition to reflect our collective perspectives on current social, political, and environmental issues. Each piece tells a story and invites dialogue.

Bring Your Supplies: If you have materials you'd like to contribute (magazines, scissors, glue, paints, etc.), please bring them along! If not, we’ll have some supplies available for everyone Thursday-Saturday. Water based paint only.

Spread the Word: Share this event with friends and family! Let’s unite through art and creativity as a powerful form of resistance.

Film Crowdfunding Launch Party: Ranger of the North & Make Use of Suffering

Join us for a night of celebration to support two independent film projects in production! We are launching the crowdfunding campaigns of two upcoming documentary films, Ranger of the North and Make use of Suffering. Film Fundraising Partners would like you to invite you to Zeitgeist to celebrate the two films and learn how you can support them. This will be an opportunity to learn about the films, meet the filmmakers, and learn how to support these worthwhile projects.

Tickets are on a sliding scale! Proceeds will be split evenly between the two films. The event starts at 7:30pm. Around 8:15pm the filmmakers will present short videos/talks about their current projects. Come ready to mingle with friends and support these exciting projects! Cash bar. Wear whatever makes you feel comfortable!

Presented by Film Fundraising Partners, in partnership with Zeitgeist Gallery & Bar, and the Southern Documentary Fund. Note this is not a screening of the films.

Film Fundraising Partners is a new initiative to help Triangle-based filmmaking teams raise funds for impactful documentaries. To learn more visit www.filmfundraising.com.
